“Between” and “among” are two commonly confused words, but remembering the difference is fairly straightforward.
Use “between” when discussing distinct subjects and “among” when discussing subjects that are ambiguous or undefined. For example:
- Choose between habaneros, jalapeños, and Scotch bonnets.
- Choose among the hot peppers.
