Wife of former Zaire mission president dies
Jean Lorraine Cram Griner Hutchings, 85, who served with her husband, R. Bay Hutchings, as he presided over the France Toulouse Mission from 1981–82, the Switzerland Geneva Mission from 1982–84, and the Zaire Kinshasa Mission from 1987–88, died April 8, 2012, in Provo, Utah, USA.

New District in Zimbabwe
The Church created a new district in Zimbabwe for the first time since 2000. The Bindura Zimbabwe District was organized last Sunday and includes four branches in the Bindura area. There are now four stakes and two districts in Zimbabwe.

New Temple President
George Bondzie Afful, 66, Umuchichi Ward, Aba Nigeria Stake, called as president of the Accra Ghana Temple, succeeding President Julian P. Breillatt. President Afful’s wife, Victoria Beatrice Dampson Afful, will serve as temple matron. The recorder of the Aba Nigeria Temple, he also serves as a sealer and high priest group assistant. He has served as a patriarch, temple president’s counselor, district president, bishop and high councilor. A former recorder at the Accra Ghana Temple and a regional manager for temporal affairs, he was born in Apam, Central Region, Ghana, to Agyanka Crosby and Helen Bosua Botchey Afful.
New Area Seventies

Two new stakes in Nigeria
A new stake has been created from the Benin City Nigeria Ihogbe, Benin City Nigeria Ikpokpan and Benin City Nigeria New Benin stakes. The Benin City Nigeria Siluoko Stake, which includes the Egor, Ogida, Orominyan, Uwelu 1st, Uwelu 2nd and Uwelu 3rd wards, was created by Elder John B. Dickson of the Seventy and Elder Ini B. Ekong, an Area Seventy.
A new stake has been created from the Benin City Nigeria Ihogbe, Benin City Nigeria Ikpokpan and Benin City Nigeria New Benin stakes. The Benin City Nigeria Ugbowo Stake, which includes the Adolor, Edaiken, Evbareke, Eweka, Okhoro, Oluku, Ugbowo 2nd, Ugbowo 1st wards, was created by Elder LeGrand R. Curtis of the Seventy and Elder Adesina J. Olukanni, an Area Seventy.

New Nigeria mission president
John Edafe Kosin, 55, and Christiana Chuko Igbigbi Kosin, seven children, Nigeria Calabar Mission; Ughelli Branch, Warri Nigeria District. Brother Kosin is a former counselor in the Nigeria Port Harcourt Mission, district president and counselor, bishop and branch president. Manager, Ughelli Power Plc. Born in Kokori, Nigeria, to Samuel Onofekohwo and Lucky Emagege Ititi Kosin.

New Stake in Cape Verde
I just wanted to confirm that the first stake in Cape Verde will be created on April 29th in Praia. In 2010, Cape Verde was the country with the fifth most members without a stake after Cambodia, mainland China, India, and Sierra Leone.

Two New Stakes to be Created in Accra, Ghana; Two New Districts to be Created in Ghana
Missionaries report that two new stakes will be created within the next couple weeks in Accra, Ghana. Currently the Church operates four stakes in the Accra area. Provided with the year of creation, these stakes include the Accra Ghana Adenta 1991, Accra Ghana Christiansborg 1997, Tema Ghana 2006, and Accra Ghana McCarthy Hill 2007. Once the two new stakes are created, Accra will be the city in West Africa with the most stakes.
