Mission leaders in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission report that a member group now assembles in Kisangani and that 32 converts were recently baptized into the group. The operation of the Kisangani Group constitutes the first time that the Church has operated in the northern half of the DR Congo and has occurred shortly after the Church organized its first member group in Bukavu located near the Burundi/Rwanda border.

I am a congolese, i am proud of being a later day saints member , I live in Rwanda but always my heart is great full for we have this true church in my native country DRC. I think If I am not mistaken I am the first LDS member who came from congolese tribe banyamulenge(commonly known as congolese tutsi who speak Kinyarwanda and live in DRC). I am therefore proud of being the First to join the true church established on earth again, I take this opportunity to thank my church for the true gospel they brought unto us.
I serve God at K3 in Rwanda as a sunday school class teacher, the calling that I love so much , Since I became a member I started teaching along with missionaries till we finish The whole Program of the book called GOSPEL PRINCIPLES . may God bless each and every one who loves and sustain our church to continue spread the true gospel to the whole world.
As I have said, Iam from banyamulenge tribe(tribes which speak kinyarwanda), in 1996 I left DRC after becoming a fatherless of both parents,my 3 sisters ,my young brother, 2 brothers of my fathers along with their wives and some of their children, all of these passed away in one week in the war , for we were attacked my FDLR Who were calling us Tutsi rwandan, So all of these was in my mind, I was overwhelmed by excessive sorrow in my heart but after receiving the true gospel in LDS I became new in my heath I knew that i have to forgive all peaple , I knew that God lives and that he loves us all , i knew that i have to forgive even those who killed my family and pray God to even forgive them . so whoever whats to be healed the wound in his or her heart let him/ be swallow and full of the true gospel in our church, let him/her read the book of mormon again and again and ponder the words he/she reads in it and that individual will see the great miracle in his Life on earth and morethan that he will be rewarded the Eternal life. be blessed!.
